Dee Why Medical Centre is predominantly a private billing practice. Payment is required on the day of your consultation.
Consultation fees
Fees below are the amount payable on the day. The Medicare rebate is what you can claim back, so the out-of-pocket cost is the difference between the two.

Dee Why Medical Centre is predominantly a private billing practice. Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS, credit card (excluding Diners) or HICAPS.
Bulk billing may be available with some doctors for children under 16, Disability Pension holders, and DVA Gold or White card holders.
All consultations on Saturdays are privately billed. New patients booked with Dr Kevin Ng, Dr Robyn Maiolo or Dr Trudi Ambler are privately billed, including on Saturdays.
Overseas and non-Medicare patients: private fees apply.
Dr Trudi Ambler’s consultation fees differ from the standard clinic fees. Please contact reception for her current charges.
For workers compensation, pre-employment medicals and motor vehicle accident consultations, accounts must be paid at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced by the insurer.

All private fees are shown in the table above except for Dr Trudi Ambler — please ring to enquire about her fees.
Home visits
Home visits are available on request for existing patients of the practice, by prior arrangement, within the local area only. These visits are privately billed.
Please call the surgery early in the morning to discuss.
Waiting times
At times our GPs can be delayed by urgent or complex issues with patients. We apologise if you are asked to wait, and thank you for your patience.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend an appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your time. A fee may be charged for failure to attend with less than 4 hours notice. This fee is not claimable through Medicare.
