No referral is needed for a standard podiatry appointment. A GP referral is required for a Chronic Disease Management Plan, which can subsidise a number of visits per year.
An annual diabetic foot assessment is recommended, or more frequently if you have reduced sensation or circulation. Your GP can advise.
