Common questions

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed for a standard podiatry appointment. A GP referral is required for a Chronic Disease Management Plan, which can subsidise a number of visits per year.

I have diabetes — how often should my feet be checked?

An annual diabetic foot assessment is recommended, or more frequently if you have reduced sensation or circulation. Your GP can advise.
