Common questions

Do I need a Mental Health Care Plan?

Not to make an appointment — you can see the psychologist privately at any time. A Mental Health Care Plan from your GP gives you access to a Medicare rebate for a set number of sessions each calendar year, so it is usually worth booking with your GP first.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. Your records are confidential and held within the practice. Information is only shared with your GP to support your care, or where disclosure is required by law — for example where there is a serious risk to safety.
